Pinole Community Players (PCP) is excited to announce the opening of our acceptance period for Director Submissions for our 2027 Season. We are particularly interested in providing opportunities for members of the BIPOC community.
PCP is seeking Directors and Show Proposals for our 2027 Main Stage Season. Here are the details:
We are seeking two plays and two musicals for our Main Stage season
Each show will perform three (3) weekends. Specific performance periods are:
January 2027
March 2027
June 2027
October 2027
All Productions in 2027 will be performed at the Community Playhouse, located at 601 Tennent Avenue, Pinole, CA 94564
Persons may submit up to two (2) shows for consideration, in any combination of musical or non-musical.
The submission period for our 2027 season is Monday, December 15, 2025 -Friday, January 30, 2026
Additionally, please provide the following information with your submission:

Please include dates and locations for the past 5 years (or more)
For anyone not having directed for PCP previously, please provide two references:
1 Personal
1 Professional
A written proposal/overview is requested for each individual show submission. These should contain:
The High-level vision for each suggested production
Any perceived challenges from either a technical or artistic perspective
Pinole Community Playhouse is a small, 75 seat, black-box style theatre, with a small apron
PCP does have certain in-house staff (ex: Lighting Designer, Set Designer, etc.)
However, Directors are welcome to suggest their own resources for any staffing needs, provided remuneration is within our budget
Any special casting needs or considerations
Please note: Pinole Community Players expects that all persons regardless of race, ethnicity, sexual identity, culture, age, gender expression, background, economic status, education, credentials, and experience have the opportunity to be engaged in our programming. Remuneration Range:
$750-$1,500, dependent on experience
Process Timeline:
Proposal Acceptance Period:
Monday, December 15, 2025 - Friday, January 30, 2026.
Review Process:
All submitted proposals will be reviewed by the PCP Artistic Committee
The Artistic Committee will then schedule interviews in March 2026
The committee takes many things into consideration when determining which proposals will be selected to move on to the interview process. The submission of a proposal does not guarantee an interview.
Once all interviews have been concluded, the PCP Artistic Committee will make their final selections, and all interviewees will be contacted.
