Join the Pinole Community Players family! We are a community-focused theater company dedicated to bringing high-quality performing arts to the East Bay. Whether you are a seasoned performer or looking to take the stage for the first time, we welcome actors of all backgrounds and experience levels to audition for our upcoming productions.

Below you will find information regarding our current casting calls and general audition requirements.

Current Auditions: Bye Bye Birdie

PCP is thrilled to announce auditions for our Fall 2026 production of this classic rock-and-roll musical! We are looking for a diverse cast of adults, teenagers, and youth performers to bring the story of Conrad Birdie and the residents of Sweet Apple, Ohio, to life.

Audition Dates & Location

Auditions and callbacks will be held at the Pinole Community Playhouse: 601 Tennent Avenue, Pinole, CA 94564

  • Saturday, May 9, 2026 – 10:00 am

  • Wednesday, May 13, 2026 – 7:00 pm

  • Callbacks (By Invitation Only): Sunday, May 17, 2026 – 1:00 pm

Performance Details

Performances will take place in early October 2026 at the Pinole Valley High School Performing Arts Facility.

Preparation & Requirements

Please sign up for a slot here and let us know:

  • Which day you are planning to audition (Saturday or Wednesday?)

  • Download our audition form, complete it and bring it with you to the audition

  • If you are unable to print, there will be forms available at the audition

For the Audition:

  • Please prepare 32 bars of a song from Musical Theater.

  • Bring music on a charged, Bluetooth compatible device or bring sheet music in your key; Accompanist provided.

  • Dress comfortably for a short dance audition.

  • Please be prepared to have a publicity headshot taken at the initial audition.

Callbacks:

  • Sunday, May 17, 2026 - 1:00 pm (By Invitation Only)

  • You will be contacted by a member of the Production Team if needed at the call back
